A ghost. A fragile soap bubble. Your breath is the only thing keeping it alive.

A 1990 Game Boy classic (born on the Atari ST, by Christophe Andréani), reborn on Playdate. Guide a drifting soap bubble through 35 rooms of a haunted mansion without ever touching it. You’re the ghost. You blow. The bubble bobs, drifts, and pops the instant it kisses a wall, a spike, a candle flame or a swinging blade.

It’s tense. It’s delicate. It’s oddly meditative. And on Playdate, you blow with the crank.

🎣 Built for the crank

Turning the crank blows air onto the bubble, the most natural control this game has ever had, and something the 1990 Game Boy original simply couldn’t do. Prefer buttons? Ⓐ and Ⓑ still blow. Play it your way.

🎧 A faithful port

This isn’t a ROM running in a box. The entire game was rebuilt in C from a disassembly of the Game Boy cartridge : bubble physics, blowing, collisions, and every room’s object layout were ported one-to-one. Every hazard moves exactly like it did in 1990, because the data comes straight from the original ROM.

✨ What the Playdate edition adds

• Crisp 1-bit HD rendering : the image is scaled up without distortion: the Game Boy’s original proportions are preserved, never stretched. A custom pipeline keeps everything razor-sharp on the Playdate’s screen.
• Native Playdate UI : title screen, system menu, high-score table and name entry, all drawn with the SDK.
• High-score saving, attract mode, and a room selector wired into the Playdate menu.
• 35 rooms of pure precision : candles to snuff, fans, moving spikes, crossing blades, drafts.
